Turner Elementary School is one of the largest enrollment elementary schools in the District of Columbia. Showing the success through the “Commitment to Excellence” was the theme in creating the ascetics to highlight the success in a turnaround evidence based model. The core values of students first and foremost, high expectations for all and teamwork values creates a culture of meeting the standards with joy while learning. Former Principal and current Instructional Superintendent Eric Bethal had a vision of showing what can be done while working with inner city children.
